DECOR 2600 Answer machine

On my old Paragon 500 (nice, simple instrument), if a caller leaves a message then a red light flashes to warn that there is an unread message. There appears to no such equivalent on the Decor 2600, so - if you were not there to hear the phone ring - how do you know that a message has been left? Can't find anything about this in the Manual 😞

You would hear interrupted dial tone when you pick up the phone.

Many phones also have a "message" icon which shows on the phone screen.

As the phone has an answer machine, it may be best to disable 1571, or set it to the maximum number of rings.

But without knowing there had been any calls, why would I pick up the phone?

But does the 2600? And even if it does, it's going to be hard to see in the darkened corner where my phone sits 😞 A red light - or similar - is so much better for getting attention....
