Cordless phone extensions

How do i set up my current cordless phone setup using Digital voice. I have the main unit in the dining room with extensions to 2 bedrooms and one in the garage. The main (old) BT phone is in the hall but rarely used. I need the extensions due to a vulnerable relative who needs total assistance but is likely to try to make her way around without warning which is why i need the phones in the locations i have them (apart from the garage)? If i plug the main unit into the hall (where the hub is) will my extensions then work? Please, no condescending replies. Thanks.

You simply need to plug the base station in the green socket at the rear of the hub. Everything will then just work as before.
