BT4600 Quad

I’m considering replacing my current system with a BT4600 system but before doing so I would just like 2 questions answered please.

Firstly, our exchange has yet to switch to digital voice. Will the BT4600 continue to work following the switchover?

Secondly I would like the base unit to connect to a phone socket downstairs. However, the router is in an upstairs room and the additional handsets plug into a power source and not a socket or router. Is there a way round this and if so how?

The BT4600 base station should be fine, either plugged into the socket on the back of the Smart Hub 2, or a free BT Digital Voice Adapter.
