Interrupted calls

When I'm on a call with someone, my phone will randomly tell me 'the person you've called can't take your call at the moment' whilst mid conversation. Any ideas?

are you now on digital voice? is it possible that you are receiving another call when on a call and that is message to second caller (call waiting active)? can the other person you are calling hear the message?

Yes I am. Is there a way to turn this off?

You should be able to go into MYBT and turn off call waiting

I don't have DV anymore but you may be able do it with a BT DV phone
