Digital voice no incoming calls

We were switched to digital voice, but since then have no incoming calls either mobile or landlines. I've seen lots of other similar posts on this. Can anyone help? BT say its an open reach problem but from various threads it doesn't seem to be the case.

If your Broadband is working it has nothing to do with Openreach.

Firstly you need to make sure you are set up for digital voice by having either a digital voice phone or if you are using your own phone it is plugged into a digital voice adapter or into the green port in the back of the HUB

If you are using a digital voice phone supplied by BT then it is going to be an issue with the settings of the digital voice service which BT need to sort

If you are using your own phone and it is plugged into the green port in the back of the HUB the same goes

If you are using a digital voice adapter then try it in the back of the HUB if it works in the HUB and not in the adapter then the solution is either to keep it there or get an adsl micro filter (you may have one lying around the house) and plug that into the top of the adapter and the phone into that

Make sure the adapter is paired and has solid green lights if you cannot manage this the adapter may need to be replaced

Thanks for the swift reply. Have tried both hub and adapter routes, with and without adsl, every one has the same issue ie no incoming calls but outgoing fine. So it does seem like an external BT DV issue.

you need to phone CS 03301234150 and report a phone fault

Yes that's correct, we can make calls but can't recieve them.

Have done this already, they say it's an open reach issue, but our broadband is working fine.....

Nothing to do with Openreach, DV is BT’s proprietary technology and OR are not involved, this problem ( no incoming calls ) is usually ( but not exclusively ) when numbers have been ported between providers, so is there any history to the number , or has it always been a BT number and never exported to a different provider in the past .

A BT mid May offer to get this looked at for you , otherwise contact BT again and don’t get fobbed off with an excuse that it’s OR , even if it was ( and it isn’t ) , it’s not for you to chase BT supplier’s.

Thanksfor the reply, im not sure on the full history of the number, but it has been a BT number for the last few years.

Aplogies if this is something you've already considered, but are incoming calls not getting through at all, or is your phone not ringing so you're not aware that a call is getting through?
You could test this by calling your DV phone from a mobile, and when you hear it ringing on the mobile, immediately picking up your DV phone handset to see if the call connects.
