Scam

I had a gentleman with an Indian accent call me this morning claiming to be from BT. He said my router had sent him a report that it was too slow. He then asked me to open my computer so that he could talk me through what to do. When I said I didn’t be.I eve that he was from BT, he said: “But I know your ID number” I told him I would not be doing anything on a cold call and that I would phone BT. I then hung up.

I suspect he would have asked to take control over my computer or something but I’m not that stupid fortunately!

I will never respond to any sort of call like this. I can understand how a lot of folk would be taken in so thought it worth mentioning.
