It’s the company that your friend is moving to that should be asked about this , after all they would arrange it , not the losing company, if it’s a business number ( depending on the size of the business ) the number may already be delivered by VoIP , but even that doesn’t mean it cannot be ported , but it’s an issue for the new company to arrange , not BT , plus this is a BT residential customer forum , not a business one …..

Hello learned people.. Just a question on the above. A friend of mine has been with BT for more than 17 years and uses the BT Number ( which I assume is registered somehow as a Business with BT for his business ) but he now wanted to MOVE to a different provider.. However, BT say.... Your BUSINESS number is FIXED with BT and therefore can NEVER be moved to a different company.

Can any learned MOD or anyone else confirm this is the case?

Thanks in advance

Regards

You would be better posting that question on the BT Business Forum.
