When will I have to switch from BT to EE?

I have read BT home broadband is going to be gradually phased out, become part of EE and I will eventually have switch from BT to EE to get the best broadband deals, when is this likely to happen?

Nobody knows, until then its just business as usual, I would suspect they'll follow the same route as BT mobile, new sales were stopped and moved to EE, then regrades were stopped but still to this day nobody has been forced to move.

There usually isn't any "forcing" involved. At some point users will log onto the BT site and instead be greeted with EE branding - and it'll probably stay that way for years!
