Openreach damage to property

Has anyone got a contact number for Openreach other than 0800 023 2023. You can’t speak to anyone on this number and no category listed for ‘damage to property’ Thank you

Openreach don't deal directly with the public. Their customer is the ISP, so you will need to go through your ISP.

@Geniegirl1 You cannot speak to Openreach directly as they are a non customer facing organisation. They are also a complete separate organisation from BT. See the following link to report damage if you have not already complained to BT first:

I have sent several emails and photos to

BTMotor@keoghs.co.uk but they never reply. On the website it says they will get back to you in 2 days 😡

Yes done all that emailed several times to

BTMotor@keoghs.co.uk Even the Openreach Engineer that came out rang his Manager to raise the issue of the shoddy workmanship installing the CPS box. I was told to email and send pictures which I did but nothing back from them 😡

@Geniegirl1 You really should be raising this directly with BT in the first instance, they are your ISP and are your first point of contact.

As for that link you posted, I think you’ll find that is specifically for reporting damage caused by Openreach vehicles, nothing to do with shoddy workmanship installing a box.

You appear to be complaining about shoddy workmanship that needs Openreach’s insurers involvement which is odd , shoddy workmanship is usually rectified by Openreach re doing whatever offended you , it’s hard to think of something an installer could do that warrants the insurance getting involved that’s ‘shoddy’ , unless they hit a water pipe for example and caused water damage, perhaps you call that shoddy, rather than accidental , yet you are advising the ‘motor’ insurance part of Openreach insurers, that may explain why no reply , if the insurance arm that normally receive information about damaged cars in traffic accidents and you (for example) sent in photos of a damaged wall or damaged carpets (or whatever ).

Either way , it’s not really BT’s problem, the damage reporting process is the same as if it were Sky or Vodafone as your provider , OR don’t have multiple versions of reporting damage depending on who your supplier is , it’s one of the times you deal directly with OR , calling BT will just get a ‘sorry , contact Openreach’ BT do not get involved with this , you obviously have already been on the OR website , if the response is tardy (taking into account your apparent failure to use the appropriate email address ) , that’s not a BT problem , contact OR higher ups if the response so far is not satisfactory.
