the cabinet belongs to openreach and has nothing to do with BT Retail try

Thank you for your reply. However, I don't think this is BT Openreach equipment. To give you a bit more context it is located inside an FE College and was part of the internal phone system. We would like to remove it but want to be sure that it isn't connected to anything vital first.

@PembrokeshireCollege

Possibly BT Business Systems then. Its probably part of an old PABX system, or an old FeatureNet cabinet. There are lots of similar 19 inch comms cabinets that were in use. See if there is a contact number written on it, a PW number, or a phone number. It could also be ISDN30 stuff, there are lots of possibilities.

Although it may no longer have power on it, there may be circuits routed through it.

https://business.bt.com/help/contact-us-business/

It would be worth asking on the BT Business forum.

When I worked for BT business systems all the comms cabinets we installed were actually customer owned.

I suggest you get your own IT department to do an audit as to what equipment is actually in use within the cabinet.

I think you can then do what you want with the cabinet.
