You would need to arrange this with Openreach, as they look after the external network.

Underground cable

My builders have installed an underground duct from my new house extension to base of BT pole. There is currently overhead, dropwire from pole to old part of my house, but I would like this put through the duct into the new part of my house. Would the dropwire need to be cut and jointed onto underground cable before going through the duct or can dropwire go through ducts? My neighbour’s connection comes down pole and goes underground already. This runs down inside protective cover on bottom half of pole.

thanks N
