Someone is using my phone number while buying things im getting messages from bt and Royal Mail that it’s being delivered to someone else’s house

Probably absolutely pointless reporting it to the Police, they'll do nothing but give you a crime number.

If you do decide to report it, then this will be about your best bet, but they'll still do nothing (probably)

As you are not a BT customer there is nothing BT can do to help you. It sounds like someone has made a mistake and entered your phone number instead of their own

If your number has been spoofed or somehow taken over for criminal activity, then BT's Nuisance Call Bureau might be able to investigate

There is nothing to suggest that they are using your name, address, bank account or anything else related to you. So somebody has entered the wrong number when filling out a form.

Contact the companies that have send the messages to you about the deliveries and advise them. Other than that there is no point in doing anything else until and if you can establish that a crime has or is being committed.

The real issue is if you’re the one being billed for the items. If so then you need to contact your bank/credit card company pronto and have them blocked.

By the way, it's not pointless to report these things to Action Fraud. If nothing else it provides proof that you've contacted the police about the fraud, which makes things so much easier if debt collectors get involved!
