Hi,

I have an old BT Response 50 that did not come with the user guide.

I was wondering if anyone had the user guide for this product?

Its a 30+ year old micro-cassette base answering machine! If you search for Bobs Telephone File, you'll find a page there that details how to use it. You'll probably also need to clean the tape head, and possibly replace the drive belt (rubber band)!

Basic instructions should be under the lid that houses the cassette.

Is the Response 55 anything like the 50? I've found manual for that.

Yes although I'm not prepared to spend £24.39 on the subscription I've tried to use the free trial but it says you have to sign up to access it

I did not realise it was so costly. Have you tried the ebay suggestion which has used phones like yours as they may come with a manual?

May I ask why is there such an interest in this machine? Do you collect old telephones and ancillary equipment - a friend of mine does, sort off?
