JVC smart TV won't connect to wifi

Help needed please.

I have a JVC smart TV that won't connect to my by WiFi.

I have a smart hub 2, tried all the usual turn on / off stuff still won't connect.

Scanning WiFi networks find my WiFi.

Tried creating a hotspot from my phone and the TV connects to that

TV reset still won't connect. Any ideas please

Make sure you have turned off smart setup on the hub.

Thanks , turned it off and I'll have another go at connecting tomorrow

Try turning off the 5Ghz WiFi on the hub temporarily, if the TV connects, turn 5Ghz back on afterwards.

That not worked either. I have another Home hub 2 might try that

I doubt the problem lies with the Hub.

When I used my phone as a hotspot creating an alternative WiFi connection the TV connect straight away which leads me to think it's an issues with the BT setup

Hmm, have you tried connecting the tv to the hub via Ethernet?

Yeah that works might have to just use a powerline adapter

Some devices don't like both WiFi bands having the same SSID and turning off the 5Ghz usually overcomes that, although your TV doesn't seem to.

Out of ideas that's why I thought I'd try the new router, otherwise extra wire trailing up the wall

Is there anyway to actually speak to a real person at BT who may be able to assist?

This is an older post. But I'm having the same issue now... I can't work out what's going on. Works with phone, worked with Virgin media. But now Doesn't work with BT
