Wiring of master socket

I'm aware there's a few posts around this topic but have tried the solutions and not working for me.

I need to re attach the master socket and wiring in my house. I haven't got any extensions that need connecting. I need to know what colours go where please.

I have an AB terminal and 2 3 5 ports on the socket.

I have 3 pairs of wires

Orange with white/white with orange

Green with white /white with green

Blue with white / white with blue.

I don't have a telephone which needs plugging in, just a broadband modem

Pics attached for reference. If anyone can help I'd be so grateful!

Please could you advise which needs to go into A&B and if any into 2 3 5

Only 2 wires will be live, most likely the blue pair. Connect to the 2 terminals on the backplate of the socket, it doesn't matter which way round they go.

Into A And B or The numbered ports?

Are there any terminals on the backplate of the socket rather than the removable portion?

Nope that's all, the A & B and 2 3 5

In that case, A&B, the numbered terminals are for extension wiring.

Thank you, I've done that, I'm still getting a red light on my router for broadband

That is internal cable, you need to see where your external cable comes in and what colour wires are connected to it.

I hadn't plugged the modem back in 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ its all working perfectly now, thank you so much for your help and swift replies 🤗
