Hi,

Both myself and a friend have BT broadband (Smart Hub).

Recently, we've not been able to update our 360 Total Security program, virus definitions.

I'm in contact with them, however this evening I tried disconnecting my pc from BT network completely, and used my phone wifi hotspot (with EE mobile). The update worked fine.

To me, this looks like something in the router, or at BT's end is blocking access to the update server. These are the test run when connected to BT.

Ping sdup.update.360safe.com test: FAILED

sdup.update.360safe.com ping log:
Ping request could not find host sdup.update.360safe.com. Please check the name and try again.

C:\Windows\system32>tracert sdup.update.360safe.com
Unable to resolve target system name sdup.update.360safe.com.

Is there a way into the smart hub firewall to check?

Edit: I have now disabled the firewall completely, and still no updates coming through. I can only assume then that it is something BT side which is blocking updates??
