Buy a wireless access point. It will give you a wireless connection and it will have an Ethernet port for wired devices.

TP-Link do one for not a lot of money.

You can leave it on its own wifi name which will allow you to see that your wirelss devices are connected to it or make its name the same as the BT Hubs. Down side with that is you won't know if it connected to the house or the TPLink so it could be on the weaker house signal.

Hello,

My friend has recently built a summer house and I've ran a CAT5e cable from the back of his BT Smart Hub 2 in the main house out to it. Can anyone tell me what is needed in the summerhouse to provide wireless and hard-wired connections to devices out there?

Thanks in advance,

Gavin

Thanks. Do I just connect the CAT5e to one of the four Gig ethernet ports on the back of the hub?

I would recommend using Cat5e exterior grade or internal grade in conduit/trunking.
