I want to use my BT hub 5 router upstairs

Hello,

I have a BT Smart home 2, I find that the wireless connection is not every good, Is there a way I can use my BT home 5 router as a wireless Adpaper upstairs.

Yes but you need to connect it by cable to your main router Lan socket to Lan socket.

Set the IP address of the HH5 to anything between 192.168.1.1 -192.168.1.63

Disable DHCP on the HH5

Just one thing to bear in mind is that you can't disable the LEDs on a HH5, so they will be constantly flashing trying to establish an Internet connection. So you may need some tape to mask them off or hide it in a cupboard!
