Wifi failing with OBS & games on laptop

I have been trying to stream on twitch with OBS and when i do try and connect with the wifi, it completely cuts off my internet and goes offline. This also happens when i try to play a game online on laptop. I went and bought a TP-Link TL-PA7010 and i had been successful with it but now it is really lagging and dropping frames.

when i connect with wifi, i get speeds of 125mb but when i connect with the tp link, the speeds are currently only 8mb even though the data transfer speed is up to 1000mbps.

how can i get my internet not to go offline when connecting to OBS 27 and to online games. Everything else is fine, browsing and watching youtube etc is good.
