Just "Cannot connect" or something more detailed? Looks like there may be issues with the old SMB1 used by the Smart Hub unless they've been sorted in a firmware update.

Hi, when I open windows run and put in \\192.168.1.254 I get a Network Error saying cannot connect. I have connected an external hard drive to the router, Home Hub 6, and am trying to map it in as a shared drive. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you

Make sure you have SMB1 enabled on Windows, it is disabled by default

Thanks, have turned SMB1 back on, still no luck. Also, when I have the external hard drive plugged in to the router and try to add a network connection, I get a message saying file not valid. Losing the will!
