For the last month or so the smart hub 2 router drops the wifi connection for either my laptop or the televisions. Not had any problems for years before that and nothing new has connected to our network that coincides with the issue starting. A restart of the router rectifies the problem but doesn't go down well with whoever happens to be streaming at the time.

I'm not technical but I can't get through to BT now for 3 weeks on the phone so does anyone have a solution?

try going to hub manager 192.168.1.254 in to address bar then go to advanced setting /wireless and select the channel for 2.4/5ghz manually instead of smart then save and exit. avoid channel 36 if you have SKYQ

your wifi devices will be fine with the channel change

you could also use a wifi analyser on mobile to find neighbour's channels in use and select a free or less congested channel
