Any help or suggestions please.

Originally had a netgear modem and nighthawk router, which after many years of reliable service died.

These were happily connected to BT isp with the usuual PPPoe settings.

I have now purchased a draytek 167 Vigor Netgearworking in modem router mode GS308t switch and netgear WAX630 WAP.

Draytek syncs with ISP yet a number of web sites time out.

D/L about 50mbs

U/L about 9Mbs

Bt mail fails to sync with server

Netgear Wap fails to contact insight cloud to register sync and update.

Spent many hours speaking to Draytek checking settings along with Netgear.

My final step was to try a different isp, so took all my equipment to a friends house who uses plusnet as isp but ultimatley the backbone is Bt, and with a wave of a magic wand everthing springs into life syncing and updating.

My only conclusion is that there is a"handshake" or protocol that is blocking the neccessary information to Tx Rx.

The Wap does not even connect when connected to the bt home hub.

Speaking to Bt advisor when you eventually manage to get them to call is of no use, my cat had better input with my woes.

Has anyone had similar issues or solutions, bearing in mind proir to the new equipment the old worked fine?

Thannks
