    <description>The BBU is a throwback to when BT offered FVA and a phone could be connected to the ONT to provide telephony, this is now redundant , if you want to use the BBU that’s upto you but it isn’t required…it’s the status of the ONT itself ( not the battery back up unit ) that is important.&lt;BR /&gt;You can transfer the power lead from the BBU and insert into the ONT , these days ONT’s don’t get a BBU , the ONT is powered solely from the mains</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have just joined BT. Our broadband was supposed to begin yesterday but it’s still on an orange light. This is because our BBU had a fault so I replaced the batteries.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The light on the BBU is now yellow despite being replaced with new rechargeable batteries. How long does it take to charge and turn Green?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this makes sense!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
