Extending the optical cable

Hello,

just had BT installed and I would like to move the ONT box to a more hidden place. Is it possible to extend the optical cable (very carefully). I've seen a few adapters online that let you connect 2 opitcal cables together, but wasn't sure if there was a certain type that I needed.

Don't even think about trying to move it yourself.

Yeah the more I read about it, the more I'm agreeing with that sentiment!
