&lt;P&gt;You do not need the modem anymore. The new home hub connects directly to the phone line using the grey RJ11 cable that came with the home hub.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If there is no grey RJ11 cable with the home hub, then use the one that is connected to the modem, by unplugging the cable from the modem end (press clip to release, then pull gently).&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>New smart hub question</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The issue I have is that my old Smart Hub was connected to a modem as I had BT Infinity and there is nowhere on the new hub to connect the cable from the modem. Do I need the modem now?
