Hi guys - I’m sure it’s a silly question yet…I’ve bought a flat which has a line currently not active ( it has been disconnected after the tenant left the place). Would be possible to test if the master socket works well or do I need to wait till BT activate the line? I will move there in a few weeks time and I want to be sure that the broadband will work since day 1…Appreciate your replies and sorry for the very “basic” question…

it may be that when you take out a broadband contract you get FTTP which does not use the existing sockets or copper wire. enter address and see what is available

Either it 'works' or it doesn't, nothing you can do to change anything.
