Hi,

I'm trying to set up a SenseCAP miner, I understand I need a Static IP address? Can I change to a static IP through my 'Home essential' account or do I need to upgrade?

Thanks

steve

BT Residential don't provide static IP addresses. You would have to switch to BT Business or another ISP.

A quick Google suggests you may have misunderstood the requirement. It looks like the device simply needs a static private address on the LAN, not a static public address. So assuming you're using a BT Hub, you just need to assign an IP address outside the DHCP range of the Hub. 192.168.1.10 for example would be easy to remember.
