Note that ideally you want to initiate a working line takeover, without the current tenant cancelling. They will get notification of the takeover which will cancel their contract. But if they cancel directly, you may experience a delay ordering service until that "cease" order has cleared.

Hi there,

I'm moving into a new flat at the start of April. I'm coming from a flat where bills were included so I will be a new/first-time BT customer. The current tenant at the new property currently has a BT broadband set up there. I'm wondering what is the best approach/ what has to be done from my side to sign-up here to ensure a smooth process?

You need to sign up and order a BT broadband product
