I just moved to BT and I am getting extremely poor speeds with gaming

Hi. I moved to BT two days ago and have been getting very low speeds over Wi-Fi. When I do a speed test on my PS5 or Xbox Series X, I get around 15Mbps which is absolutely appalling considering I am paying for 500Mbps.

I moved from Virgin Media and would usually get around 350Mbps over Wi-Fi on both consoles with them, ethernet isn’t an option but like I said, I had 300+Mbps over Wi-Fi on both consoles on Virgin Media but now I am lucky to get 20Mbps…. What gives?

I should add, that my phone says I am getting around 350Mbps in the same room yet my consoles are now suddenly only able to get around 20Mbps.

Hi @ConorJ sorry you're having a problem with your speeds. The first thing is to check your connection wired with no other devices connected to see if it's a fault with your connection or just wifi is affected. Please test a device connected via Ethernet.
