It's normal practice that consumer admin WEBUI access is only available from a LAN/WiFi connection. Some routers allow users to enable WAN access, but it's rarely the default. So unless someone on the LAN side of the router has changed something odd or there is a known vulnerability it's usually pretty hard to hack a consumer router.

*Badly configured VPNs can be a major security risk!

Just wondering if anyone else had been so unlucky as to have had their admin on there router (broadband was literally being shut down daily ) terrorised by someone and BT had no idea and still said there was nothing wrong with the connection. This was found by a cyber team independently .
