Hello, all working good here with FTTC fibre and the smarthub2. I wanted to use my own router, so I got an ASUs ax82u and connected it via pppoe to an Openreach modem (unlocked) - the hg612.

the BT modem gets the DSL line.

i connected the router via lan1 (fast bridge) on the modem to the wan port of the router.

router wan is set to pppoe, all defaults, plus username bthomehub@btbroadband.com pass BT.

the router interface shows internet status connected with a WAN ip, but no device can connect to the internet.

can anyone help please?

thanks

That is a function of the modem, not the router.
