BT Hub6 - does it remember setting changes?

Hi

I recently installed a Deco mesh network in my house. I had a few issues initially as devices would try to reconnect to the weak hub signal in some parts of the house instead of the new network. I found it worked seamlessly though when I turned off Wi-Fi on the hub and just relied on the Decos.

We had a very brief power cut here this morning and now the hub has reappeared in the list of available networks. I’ve tried joining it from different devices and I can join it using my phone but not my MacBook.

I assumed that the power cut and restart meant the hub had forgotten the Wi-Fi being turned off. The strange thing is that when I opened the Smart Hub Manager page, it shows wireless as still turned off, even though I can clearly see it in the list of available networks.

Can anyone advise how to deal with this?

Hi @Padmeister Welcome back and thanks for posting, have you tried turning on the wifi in the Hub manager and then turning it off again? Failing that a factory reset of the Hub might help.

Thanks

Hi Neil

Yes, I’ve tried turning Wi-Fi on and off again in the hub manager page, but not the factory reset option. I’ll give that a go and let you know
