Smart hub 2 split

Good evening

I'm getting the BT smart hub 2 on Monday but I'm wondering if a TP link RE300 will find the 2.4 as I've got ring doorbell and to link bulbs I need to run & this is an issue for me one pleased to accept any advice & many thanks in advance.

Hi @roger4269 I have never had a problem with old legacy 2.4 products. For me I simply fixed the 2.4 channel (not smart channel) and turned off 5 GHz while joining the network. Belt and braces, reboot the hub after making the changes and before joining. Then turn the 5 GHz band back on.

Ok I'll try that but would my work around with the re300 work?
Again thank you you so much for the advice I've only just joined so wasn't sure wot to expect.
