Smart Hub 2 alternative or wait?

Hi all,

I’m looking to upgrade to a WiFi 6 router, as the biggest issue with the SH2 is it tends to get overwhelmed & reboots when I’m WFH or when there’s 10+ devices connected it slows to a crawl. Most devices we have are WiFi 6, so the hope is that the features of the standard will be better for reliability.

I’ve heard BT are launching a new router, but not sure if I should wait or pick a 3rd party dsl router. Any advice?

The new router the Smart Hub Plus seems to be exclusive to New EE at the moment, You could see if any one is selling one though as I've seen private sellers sell kit on Amazon before

Still surprised that the new routers haven’t received wider rollout. I’ve tried to look on Amazon and EBay, only the extenders are showing up unfortunately

I don't know if BT plan to roll them out themselves.

They seem to be saving the newest equipment for New EE and trying to get people to switch over since it'll be the main consumer brand.
