Able to upgrade if SH2 isn't connected anymore??

I might be overthinking this so dont jump down my throat, but if I have replaced my SH2 with a much more friendly router, that is connected directly to the OTP, can I still upgrade my fibre package, I am assuming the answer is yes as the OTP is what is giving me the speeds not the router, but can someone give me a yes you can or no you need the SH2 connected to upgrade, thanks 🙂

not sure what OTP is do you mean ONT - for FTTP

unless you have or are getting digital voice then you can use whatever router you like however if you have home phone and get converted to DV then you must use SH2 as first connection

I meant ONT - yes perfect thank you, I am not using DV so should be good.
