Pressreader App fails to download newspaper - Huawei tablet

I have Huawei tablet ( MediaPad M3 Lite 10 ) with a Huawei MAC address which starts B0:E1:7E.

Earlier this week it stopped downloading newspaper/magazines on the Pressreader app, after many years of (mostly) fault free service.

Short version is that if I use a different wifi hotspot (Samsung phone on Giff-Gaff for example) for the tablet to connect to the internet, instead of my home BT wifi, the downloads then work on the tablet.
Change back to my home BT wifi and the app occasionally complains of of limited connectivity to the Pressreader server, and doesn't download new issues, regardless of complaint or not.

The same version (6.6.231206) of the Pressreader App with my log-on works on home BT WiFi on my (Samsung) phone.

Any ideas, or help, would be appreciated,

Well, the Pressreader app is downloading again now on my local BT hub.

Nothing has changed here that I can see, the only things that I have done since the problem was posted are:

a re-boot of my home hub

and reselection of "Autodownload new issues", and "include supplements" on my choice of reading.

All a bit odd really.
