Hi all.
Going to set this up over the next few days and want some advice please

this will replace my smart hub 2

questions

which port do I use for the fiber wan connection

1 or 2

I don’t believe the HG612 is unlocked but I can do it if needed.

does the HG612 need unlocking to activate lan2?

I understand that I will need to add the username and password Which I will be able to access without unlocking.
I am sure there will be questions once I install. But hopefully this should be a simple process

Port 1.

Port 2 is used to access the management page if unlocked and connects to your Lan

You don't need to unlock it, PPPoE username and password are entered on your router, not the modem.

LAN 2 was covered up by default IIRC, so if it's uncovered it's possibly unlocked already. In which case it could have credentials stored in it so be sure to factory reset first.
