Anyone come across the download speed on disc restricted to around 90mb download. All my discs are connected back to the router via cable. I have a couple of gigabit switches they go through. Ports on the switch are definitely gigabit. If my phone is connected to the router, I’m getting between 400-500 mb download on a 900 mb fibre connection.

Fast Ethernet is limited to 100 Mb/s which could easily result in you seeing a download speed of 90 Mb/s.

Check all the cables in use are Cat5e or higher and have all 8 wires of the cable in use.

Also check that the link to the disc from your switch is running at 1Gb/s as sometimes the autonegotiation of Ethernet speed messes up.

Check that the links between the switches and router are also at 1Gb/s for the same reason.

You may have to try using a device with a gigabit ethernet port connected to the switches if the switches don't indicate the speed.
