Is your WiFi disk a BT black "Complete WiFi" disc, or a white "Wholehome" disc?
If black, then the disc will have the same network name (SSID) as the hub once it's been paired with the Hub. You can then place the disc at a suitable location to extend your WiFi coverage.
If white, it will have its own name (shown on the pullout panel at the back of the disk) but, since the first white disk must be connected by ethernet cable to the Hub, you'll need at least one more white disc for the system to work.

Probably a silly question, I've added a BT wifi disc to my BT hub, does the wifi disc then have the same network name as the hub?

Asking so I connect my pc to the correct network.

Yes, it copies the same name as the hub, and cannot be changed.

Chris, Keith, thanks. It's the black disc. Thanks for your replies. It's always good to learn something!

One further question to complete my education for today:

Can the ethernet port on the disc be used to connect to a device by cable? e.g. direct to my computer, or is it only for pairing with the Hub?
