I have recently upgraded my Smart Hub to a Smart Hub 2. I was intrigued to find that my old Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password had automatically been configured on the new Hub. How can this be?

I did download the BT App to my phone, so thought it might have captured the details. Checking online I found that the App would not do this.

Also, when looking at the Hub Manager, I only see the default (factory) SSID and password, but cannot see details of my old SSID.

In summary I can see 3 SSID’s, the default, my original one from my old hub, and "EE WiFi".

Any ideas how the Smart Hub 2 picked up the old SSID?

Are you sure it is on your new hub and not being transmitted from powerline adaptors that will still use the old SSiD until you change it.
