Current VM setup

Router address 192.168.0.1

Port forwarding for the following

DVR fixed IP at 192.168.0.99

NAS fixed IP at 192.168.0.138

When my BT/EE router arrives its my understanding that its default ip address is 192.168.1.254

Can someone give me the simplest solution to get my network up and running. Can I just change the BT/EE routers default gateway to 192.168.0.1 ?

Many thanks

Yes, and also change the DHCP range to 192.168.0.140 - 192.168.0.254

Many thanks,

Quick question regarding the DHCP range, i never did that on the old VM router, but I can see why you mention it. Is DHCP protocol that 'dumb' to allocate a conflicting ip ?, i never realised this, thanks again

For starters, it will be in the wrong 192.168.1.xxx subnet unless you change it, and yes static IP addresses need to be outside of the DHCP pool to avoid conflicts.
