So, Openreach engineer couldn’t route the fibre under paving flags as I had requested. I’m now considering a new route into house but I’m concerned it will run adjacent to a mains cable that runs from the mains/meter cupboard and supplies power to my garage.

The overlap is approx 6ft and the remaining distance into the house is approx 10ft.

before I go to the expense of installing 2 sockets in my dining room for OTC and Hub, can anyone tell me whether the 2 cables running next to each other will degrade the internet signal etc.

thanks

Fibre is unaffected by adjacent external cabling.
