what would be a better choice? we have full fibre 100, with bt halo 3 +.

Hi @newborn If you don’t use the SH2 then you lose the two major benefits of Halo 3+. The Hybrid Connect and Complete WiFi both require the SH2.

What are your requirements?

What is your reason to replace the BT hub?

What is your budget?

You might as well ask ' what car should I buy'

...And if you're on digital voice, (or will be sometime soon), it only works through the SH2.

so we used to be on digital voice but we don't have a landline anymore. so it's not being used, what if I got a second router to act like an accesspoint, would this work?

Yeah but digital voice is delivered via the Smart Hub, anyway if you are not interested in a phone line either way then dont worry about that but as has been said, you have Halo3+, getting your own router not support those hybrid features you are paying for.

I think its probably best to mention what/why you are trying achieve?

As Naylor has said, digital voice is delivered via copper or fibre but, either way, it only works through the SH2.
