Second private network

I want to setup a completely separate Wi-Fi network on my smart hub 2 so that I can completely segment my work devices from home devices (so they never meet as it were)

Is this possible with a simple second Wi-Fi network or do I need another router in line (if so how do I make sure that connection is private from the home ?)

You can't do it with Smart Hub alone, you either need to use a third party router with a guest network facility or create a second network with another router connected to your hub LAN port to WAN port.

how would I setup a second router ? And how do I make sure it’s secure from the home network on the smart hub ?

Give the second router a static WAN IP address of 192.168.1.10 and gateway address 192.168.1.254. Set the LAN DHCP range to the 172.16.xx.xx subnet.
