It takes a while if you want to isolate specific devices, as you have to add them as clients with reserved IP addresses, and the put them in their own filtering group.

None of this works if the devices in question have MAC randomisation enabled, however you can keep adding those random MAC addresses to a totally blocked group. That will encourage users to make sure they are using the device MAC address,

You need to disable the DHCP server on the home hub, once you have activated the DHCP server on Pi-Hole, which is vastly superior.

Hi All,

We currently use the SmartHub 2 but I am looking to get a router that has logging of all sites accessed and also device level blocking of specific web sites. I understand that due to having digital voice the SH2 must be first in line but what suggestions do you have for a router that can handle this please?

Take a look at some of the Netgear routers, as many implement Netgear`s parental controls. Bear in mind that all parental controls can be circumvented by knowledgeable teenagers.

If you are competent, then Pi-Hole can do comprehensive logging and filtering.

Oh yes I forgot about Pi-Hole and I do have a spare Pi sitting around doing nothing so might go that route.
