I’ve just bought a firestick for my TV which works well on installed catch-up apps, but buffers and freezes on live TV - but only at night, when neighbours at home using the internet etc..

Could I use the Ethernet socket on the nearby BT wi-fi disc to boost the ‘signal’ to the firestick - using the appropriate Ethernet adaptor?

I’m aware this would work if plugged directly into an Ethernet socket on the hub itself (upstairs), but can it also be done by plugging into the Ethernet port at the back of the wi-fi disc?

Thanks

Its still a wireless connection from the hub to the disc, so its unlikely to improve things.

You have nothing to lose by trying it! You may get a little bit of a boost as you'll not have the TV acting as a bit of a WiFi shield, and the extender is likely to have a better antenna than the Firestick!
