Instead of only signing in once, as you could do with the old BT App, you now have to sign in (with your BT credentials) every time you want to connect to an EE hotspot.
It's all part of EE's "improved" service!

Hi BT Community ,

As a new member , I just wondered if someone can help me with a a Hot Spot problem please ?

I have always been able to connect to Wi-Fi using BT Mobile Hot Spots when out and about , using my "My BT " account sign in details , and especially at one or two fixed locations that I visit regularly. However I don't suddenly seem to be able to connect to Wi-Fi this way anymore e.g. when away from our home Broadband coverage.

Has the coverage range or other sign in criteria changed for this very useful " Hot Spot " service ?

Many thanks in advance for any advice or updates on this.

Mark085Thanks

The hotspots are still out there however they are called EE WIFI now. Also not sure how you are signing in but you just sign in via the website after you have connected to the WIFI, you no longer sign in via the BT app for it. Outside of that I would contact BT who I am sure would be able to look into any issues that remain

Hi @Mark085Thanks

As @Manatarms84 mentioned, BT WIFI is now called EE WiFi

New EE Broadband and BT Broadband customers still receive unlimited free access to the EE WiFi network.

You can find out more information about using EE WiFi at Get Public WiFi Access | EE WiFi

Hope this helps!

Ali
