Can someone please explain, in simple terms, how I generate a new QR code once I have updated the password for my hub?

I think you need to explain what your requirement is for a QR code. You can change the hub password any time without any need to generate a QR code

We run a tearoom and have the qr code accessible so visitors can easily access our wi-fi. Very old building with thick walls so cannot access mobile signals inside the building.

Also, if you have a recent Android phone, you can generate a WiFi QR code from the Settings page for your SSID.

Wish I had seen this reply before I tried. It sounds much simpler. I did manage to do it though.
