I have purchased a Windows 11 laptop recently which works perfectly. Now when I use the old Windows 10 laptop I have to enter the Wireless Password each time to connect to internet. I have contacted BT who did not have a solution. Can anyone help. Thanks

Have you ticked the box " Connect Automatically" when you log onto your BT hub when you are using your old laptop.

There are a few things to try:-

Carry out a factory rest of the BT hub by pressing a pin into the red button on the rear for about 30 seconds.

If that does not work try "forgetting" the connection on your laptop then "restart" not just "shut down" the laptop and when it restarts try re connecting to the BT Hub.

If that does not work go through the following information in this link

https://thegeekpage.com/wifi-not-automatically-connecting/

Thank you for your response. I followed your instructions and also the instructions in the attachment regarding wifi and so far all seems to be well. It didn't help that the Digital Voice phones went down at the same time. The joys of BT.

Thanks for all your help and your prompt reply as this situation was sending me to an early grave.

I don't think your need to relogin every time you connected your old Windows 10 laptop to the internet had anything to do with BT so it's not surprising that BT couldn't offer a resolution. It's also not connected in any way with DV. I think you'd have had the same issue whichever ISP you were trying to connect to.
