Recently got Fibre with 900Mbps up and 110 down.

Near the hub, get nearly 700Mbps up and 110 down....great.

Installed two BT Complete Wi-Fi Discs (Black ones) and both have blue lights. Standing right next to them, and can only achieve roughly 60-70Mbps up and 20Mbps down. Surely i would expect to see at least 200+.

Have put the disc closer to the Hub, and made sure i was connected to the disc, and still the same speeds.

When i connect an ethernet cable to the back of the disc, i get over roughly 170Mbps, which is better, but would have thought i would get over the 250Mbps.

Tried looking to see if i could force the backhaul to 2.5Ghz and clients to use the 5GHz, but it doesn't look like you can configure these Disc's.

Any ideas what i could do to help increase the speeds when connected to the disc?

Thanks in advanced.

The discs raison d'etre (excuse my French) is to extend the wifi signal and not to increase speed.

Those speeds you're currently getting definitely fall in the "v good " wifi strength category

Thanks for your reply Kodikid.

Agree with that the discs only extend your signal. But, should be getting a lot on throughput that I am receiving.

feels a bit pointless upgrading to fibre to only get the speeds I was getting with normal FTTC 😔 in other rooms other than the one where the hub is in.
